OUR MINISTRIES

Below are just a few of the ministries offered at New Jerusalem.

Bible Study

3 Bible Studies are currently active at NJMBC.  These include our Wednesday night Adult taught by Pastor Davis and our Wednesday noon Seniors' Bible Study taught by Rev. John Ashford.

Sunday School

Held every Sunday Morning, Sunday school accommodates Adult (Rev. Veronica Davis), Teen (Rev. Jabari Frazier), Junior (Rev. Barbara Smith), and Primary (Sis. Shauntrell Smith) classes.  Dea. Roosevelt Henderson serves as Superintendent. (Teachers are listed in parenthesis)

Men's Ministries

The Men's ministries include an annual prayer breakfast and men's day celebration.  Our men are actively involved in the overall maintenance and beautification of the church, as well as serving as mentors to our young boys and young men.

Women's Ministries

The Women's ministries include an annual prayer breakfast and women's day celebration.  Our women are actively involved in the nuturing of our young girls and young ladies.  Sis. Lillie Jones is the Women's Department President.

Youth & Young Adult Ministries

Our Youth Ministries include an annual black history trip, a summer fun trip, vacation bible school, Sunday school and Bible study.  In addition, Youth Day is celebrated annually in the month of June, followed by a Youth Revival. This department is jointly led by Min. Lauretta Booker and Sis. Shauntrell Smith.

Rainbow Missionary

The Rainbow Missionaries go out and provide missionary service to the community.  They provide cleanup services to our elderly as well as spiritual support.  Rev. Barbara Smith serves as president.

Music Ministry

Our award-winning music ministry showcases some of the best talents in the world.  They are a reflection of the spirit of worship, fusing traditional and contemporary music into the worship experience. Rev. Jabari Frazier is currently the Minister of Music.

Community service

Every Sunday morning, breakfasts are delivered in the Motts and Smiths Station communities to those who are in need and or bed-ridden.  This is just one of many ways that NJMBC gives back to the community.  This ministry is the brainchild of Sis. Beaulah Smith who serves as chairperson.
